High-dose interferon schedule best for reducing MRI active lesions
The higher and more frequent dose schedule of interferon beta-1b is more effective than once-weekly interferon beta-1a in reducing the development of MRI active lesions, according to recently-published INCOMIN trial results. The trial's MRI results are in line with its clinical results, which have been previously reported. The authors say that the data, "...clearly demonstrated that the efficacy of IFNb-1b 250ųg EOD [every-other day] SC is superior to that of IFNb-1a 30ųg OW [once-weekly] IM."...
